Sauk Centre, Minnesota

Just got into Sauk Centre today. Been moving a little slower than I have originally planned, but there have been plenty of friends that I have met and hung out with along the way. Following my stay with Team Camarena in Minneapolis, Logan Osterberg hopped on his fixed gear bike and cruised to Elk River, MN. We had planned on staying at a campground that turned out to be an RV Park only. Nuts!! We ended up going to a softball field for a delicious drink of High Life, when we were aided by a woman who knew the area. (We had been talking with some younger gals, but we could see guys in the field mean-mugging us... This caused us to keep our conversation amongst ourselves... Don't want any billies coming after us in trucks.)

From there I went to Rice City, MN and met up with my friend Brillo's buddy Tim. We enjoyed a Kick-A fire, I slept super-late, and finally got on the road by 330P. Made it to Birch Lake State Park and did a little "Stealth camping" off a trail. Went alright, but it is kinda weird being out there all alone. You hear all kinds of critters cruising around your tent and start wigging out if you don't just tune it out.

I woke up this morning and hit the lake for a shower. Felt unbelievable. Nothing like a nice clear lake for a morning bath. Just got to Sauk Centre library and am limited on computer time so I will return to the blog here soon. Thank you everyone for all of your help so far along my route!! Also, thank you donors for your support. I hope I have not forgot anybody, but I promise I never will.

Love you Mom, Dad, Austin, Joanna, Matt & the girls. Talk to you all soon.
