21, 614 kilometers in 447 days and I have now reached Puno, Peru by the famous Lake Titicaca! WOO-HOO!!!!

Matt and I are now in Puno, Peru and will be entering Bolivia within the next couple of days. Since Lima and the time we spent with Gaby and her wonderful family, we have covered a fair amount of ground. We slammed down the coast to Nasca where we decided it was time to change our "less climbing, more chilling" philosophy. The coast was a good way to make up time, but once we climbed out of Nasca toward Cusco we realized that riding in the pampas and scaling the mountains was much more enjoyable riding. A lot of good experiences came out of the coastal riding, but we are both glad to be in the Andes again. I think we are both in agreement that the section from Nasca to here has been some of the most beautiful riding of the entire tour.

So I will get up a good update here again soon. I did get some photos up though from Tumbes to Lima, and from Lima to Cuzco if you are interested. To take a look, click here:  6. PERU PHOTO GALLERIES / FOTOS PERU.

Enjoy and stay tuned for future updates!!!
